I'm a designer and student studying Graphic Design in Raleigh, NC. I enjoy working with design systems, information architecture, and user experience.
What I'm About
I'm learning how to practice leadership and design ethically, effectively, and sustainably. These goals are particularly oriented towards products and work that extend and augment the ways that humans experience life. My mom once used Facebook to track down the Japanese family that had hosted her as a foreign exchange student when she was 17, and just a few months later our family got to meet them in real life. This is the best of technology and design, and the world needs more of it.
Design thinking is an effective method of creating systems and programs that extend opportunity to developing areas of the world. During my first year of college, I took a seminar course on responsible and sustainable development in the third world, which inspired an interest in initiatives like micro-loans, reproductive health education, and human-centered design.
Where I'm Going Next
After college, my ideal career involves working with companies that are driven to use human-centered design to improve the world in meaningful, tangible ways. Let's work together!
